SUSAN BRAHAM:
Susan Braham is a licensed Massage Therapist and certified Yoga Instructor whose interest in the body began during her life as a dancer and choreographer. She has combined the hands-on techniques of several bodywork modalities (
Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, deep tissue, Reiki, cranial sacral, yoga postures, and breath), using her knowledge and understanding of alignment and the movement potential of the body. She has worked with a range of clients and students, from office workers, dancers, carpenters, and executives, to those suffering from multiple sclerosis and chronic pain. Her work incorporates alignment and body awareness exercise, relaxation massage, deep tissue pain management, and expanding the breath. She works with each client to develop a program for their time together, combining her knowledge and insight with the client's concerns and feedback. Her work is noted for its intuitive and attentive touch, creative approach, and balancing effect.

Maura Purpora:
Maura Purpora is a licensed massage therapist with 14 year's experience. She offers Therapeutic Massage (a blend of
Swedish and deep tissue work), Five-Element Shiatsu (which begins with a hara and pulse evaluation and follows the flow of chi through the same meridians acupuncturists use, but with palm and thumb pressure) and Energy Healing, a form of laying-on-of-hands.

Maura's bodywork relaxes and invigorates, reducing stress, muscle tension, pain, lymphedema and many musculoskeletal problems. Her office in midtown Manhattan is quiet and serene. "One of the many reasons I love my work is the instant gratification. People arrive smiling in anticipation of feeling better, and leave smiling because they do feel better."

From her 25 year's experience as an intuitive, she also offers Energy Healing. Having studied with three different healer-teachers, her eclectic work involves the aura, the chakras, and other realms of being. This work touches our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects. "My objective is to work within the healing process, using the body as a touchstone, to help people come home to themselves through a deeper awareness of the body-mind-spirit connections."

Maura is currently teaching "Journey through the Chakras: Know Your Aura" at the Seminar Center, on an ongoing basis. She is a graduate of the Swedish Institute School of Massage and the Center for Practical Energetics (Five-Element Shiatsu), both inNew York City. Some of her earlier training includes voice, art and dance.

CHRISTINE SUAREZ:
Christine Suarez's interest in the body began early as a dancer and long distance runner. As a body-worker, she incorporates several modalities: Deep connective tissue,
Swedish, Trigger point therapy and Shiatsu. Her massage encourages alignment and relaxation. Over the years she has worked extensively providing medical massage under the supervision of various medical doctors and chiropractors. With medical massage, she begins to break the pain cycle with patients suffering from chronic and acute injuries. Her practice and work focuses on immediate results and long term change.

Christine is interested in working with individuals who want to examine and develop their own body awareness. Her approach is informed greatly from her own study of movement, particularly her experience with Klein technique (a healing movement technique).

Christine is a New York State licensed massage therapist and a member of the American Massage Therapist Association.
